Visiting Castleton on St Valentine's day has become something of a tradition for us. My mum and I share our birthday on the 14th and it's nice to venture out for a meal in the countryside to celebrate without all the overpriced menus and candlelit dinners for two!
We chose to eat at the Rose Cottage tearooms, chosen by us not only for the delicious food and wonderful selections of cakes but for the fact that they are super dog friendly, welcoming all dogs with a bowl of water and plenty of treats! Can't celebrate my birthday without my best Pug, can I?!
After lunch we had a wander round Castleton, did a spot of shopping and then headed back home for our party in the evening. It was a really lovely day!
I recieved so many thoughtful gifts, currently they are all bagged up and i'm dying to have a good look at everything properly! I've had a tough few days since my birthday involving a rather scary hospital trip so i'm resting and taking it easy at the moment.... i'm getting there though!

She does behave, depends where we go and how tired she is! If she's tired, she'll be a grumpy bum and bark at waitresses! x
